Job Description:

• Develop and implement a university-wide research and innovation strategy aligned with national priorities.
• Identify key research areas and facilitate internal and external research funding.
• Oversee the commercialization of research, and establish Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and joint ventures with the private sector for research development.
• Strengthening academia-industry linkages and support research commercialization.
• Manage intellectual property (IP), licensing and promote startup culture.
• Provide training on grant writing, proposal development, and research methodologies.
• Organize research training and foster an innovative ecosystem (incubators, hubs).
• Establish and manage Institute business incubators, technology parks, and startup support programs.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and reporting of research activities.
• Develop and implement programs to support entrepreneurial ventures and spin-offs.

Job Skills:

• Strategic thinking, excellent communication and team building skills.
• Experience with IP management, grants and innovation programs.
• Knowledge of HEC policies and national Research and Development landscape.
