The two days conference hosted by Minhaj University Lahore “ 2nd World Islamic Economics and Finance Conference” came to glorious end with remarkable appreciation by the participants, distinguished guests and International speakers.
Dr. Hussain Mohi Ud Din Qadri , Deputy Chairman Board of Governors Minhaj University Lahore in his expression of thanks said, “I am beholden to all the participants and specifically to the international speakers for sparing their precious time to consent the conference.”
He emphasized, “Islam provides a complete code of ethics to lead life. It contains all the line of action as per the principle of morality, culturally, politically and that of humanity.” He quotes that we the Muslims should be trading as per the doctrines of Holy Prophet (PUBH). The very essence of this conference is based upon the concept of Sunnah. We must turn every stone up and down to implement the Islamic Banking system. He added that there should be an international forum for the formation of Islamic Banking system which should include scholars from various countries. These members with each other’s collaboration should be committed to pace the economic progression.
The conference proceeded with the grand book launching of Dr. Maria Bhatti titled “Islamic Law & International Commercial Arbitration”. The participants extremely lauded the book with note able comments.
Dr. Hussain Mohi Ud Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman BOG Minhaj University Lahore at the eve of the conference also announced the official launching of “Minhaj Halal Certification Bureau.” The Deputy Chairman stated “MHCB” would play a vital role as a Catalyst, Enabler and Facilitator. It would be the trust worthy partner in the Halal Food Global Industry. With mission “Offer outstanding, credible and market driven Professional Certification and training services that give competitive advantage to clients with clear distinction in the Halal Sector in a cost effective manner Dr. Hussain Mohi Ud Din Qadri, unanimously in confirmation with the conference organizers and the delegates of 2nd WIEFC made an official resolution titled “LAHORE DECLARATION” with the key points;

- To undertake activities that may promote Economic Intelligence, Economic Advocacy and Literacy in the Muslim Countries, Communities world over.
- Promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SAGs) on the pattern of United Nations development Program in relevance to the economics needs of the Muslim Countries and Communities.
- Promoting, encouraging academic and policy oriented research consistent with the teachings of Islam.
- Need to develop a comprehensive agenda for Muslim countries and communities covering all Social Economics aspects.
