Minhaj University Lahore hosted a graceful ceremony on December 2nd to welcome the new Vice-Chancellor Commodore(R) Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad Psc,afwc (Sitara -e- Imtiaz) (Military) and to pay rich tribute to the services of outgoing Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri being elevated to the status of “Professor Emeritus” and advisor to the Deputy Chairman BOG Secretariat owing to this dedications to MUL
Dr..Hussian Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Deputy Chairman BOG MUL in his address while acknowledging the services of Prof.Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri said, ’I would like to take an opportunity to pay tribute to his hard work and commitment in building a growing MUL to what it is today.
Over the last six years since his appointment in the year (2013), his stewardship has been characterized by innovative ideas, strategic thinking and most valuable his tireless efforts to increase credibility and visibility of MUL in regional and international space of education policy. Thus, made MUL a better organization to stand on strong footings for those to follow. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours and look forward to his prestigious involvement in MUL.”
He while welcoming the Commodore (R) Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad said,’’ we are fortunate to have the new vice-chancellor with the rich and sound academic background. Hope that his accumulated wisdom and skillset will be particularly important to land the university into new heights in the coming year with his compassionate and inclusive acumen.”
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri welcomed the new vice-chancellor and thanked the Deputy Chairman for acknowledging his contributions and said, ’The Minhaj is for those who are committed and loyal to their profession and work to make this institute a symbolic above any vested interest.”
Commodore(R) Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad stated,’’ it is a matter of immense pleasure to address on this occasion of the official joining of MUL. I express my humble gratitude to the Deputy Chairman for my selection for a noble goal to serve this prestigious institute. Indeed with faith in Divine, I would do my level best to maintain and keep growing the congenial environment of learning where we nurture the future leaders.”
