Minhaj University Lahore ‘s Seekers Club headed by Ms. Ammara Maqsood Qadri in collaboration with Youth Empowerment Society organized a pre-event campaign on December 18th for participating in International Jashn-e-Iqbal, Chief Minister Ist Youth award show on 20th, 21st & 22nd December 2019 at Aiwan-e-Iqbal to reconnect the youth of Pakistan.
Ms. Ammara Maqsood Qadari, coordinator MUL. Seekers Club in her welcome address said,’’ Allama Muhammad Iqbal is one of the most outstanding poet-philosophers of the Indian sub-continent belonging to the modern time period. His sublime poetry and philosophy inspired millions of Muslims to wake up the reality of the times and forge a destiny for themselves.”
She added,’’ Iqbal was deeply concerned with Youth of that time. He was very much clear to the fact that if Youngsters had focused their real destiny then they could have led the Muslims of Sub-Continent out of the danger of destruction earlier than they did. It is never too late. The youth of Pakistan has the ability to provide the leadership that can lead the nation to the heights of self-determination.’’
Ms. Iqra Paras. Vice President (YES) while high lighting the importance of youth role in the development of Pakistan said,’’ Pakistan has more young people than it has ever had. The voices of the youth can be heard in many ways, ranging from mainstream social media websites to more innovative approaches including direct consultations, art competitions, video message, radio shows and the volunteer programs. Our youth is opting to go abroad as they feel that are neglected and lacking lucrative opportunities to earn in Pakistan. The current programs for youth in Pakistan are lagging in both quality and quantity. It is time to engage the youth of Pakistan in positive activities and to take full advantage of their talent; otherwise, they will be in the mire of frustration. The aim of our society is to help the youth of Pakistan to explore their talent and providing them with the productive platform where they can groom and enhance their skill for the betterment of our nation and country.”
Mr. Bilal Shaheen, Director (EMG) while sharing the tips for successful entrepreneurship said,’’ Being successful often means to learn from those who have already achieved their goals. Having a mentor is an amazing blessing to an entrepreneur, but everyone cannot find in one person. The biggest motivation is to keep challenging oneself. The only way to be satisfied in your life is to do work that you truly believe in. Take the risk. Don't be afraid of failure. Believe that you can succeed, then you will find ways through different obstacles. Have a vision for something and desire to create it. The fastest way to change yourself is to hang out with the people who are already the way you want to be.’’
Mr. Rana Almas, Special Advisor to CM Punjab for Youth affairs emphasized,’’ It is time to educate our youth about the ideology and vision of Quaid-i- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal as well as struggle behind the creation of Pakistan to broaden their vision. If the youth will not be playing its role in the development of Pakistan. It will be an injustice to the countless sacrifices rendered by Quaid-i- Azam and Allama Iqbal. It was Iqbal who awakened the people of the subcontinent from the slumber through his poetry and revive the urge for independence in them. This is our national responsibility to disseminate the message of Allama Iqbal to our youth who are hoping for prosperous Pakistan. Government of Punjab is dispensing with this responsibility by organizing Jashn-E-Iqbal CM 1st Award youth.”
The seekers club student’s office bearers and other Minhajains took an oath to serve the great nation Pakistan. The students enthusiastically pledged to be the active participants of Jashn-E-Iqbal CM 1st Award Youth Festival
