In chain with the Universities Sports League Matches (USL) T20 Cricket duly initiated and conducted by Punjab Higher Education Commission a first match, in this respect, has been held at sports ground of Minhaj University Lahore contested between Cricket Team of MUL and University of Faisalabad. This match has been hosted and organized by Minhaj University Lahore.

Dr. Shahid Soroya (Pro-Vice Chancellor MUL) endorsed the efforts of Director Sports-Iqbal Murtaza Mughal (MUL) to promote the sports activities on national level and to host the first Universities Sports Cricket League at MUL grounds. He quoted that along with academic pursuits it is vital for students to participate in physical activities for agility of brain. This is the vision of PHEC and MUL very much stand by this vision and thus, out to promote sports activities at all levels.

Director of Sports, lime lighted that USL cricket matches will be played on daily basis in various universities. It is our aim to make the sports department of MUL symbolic and we stand supreme to provide best of sports facilities to MUL students.

Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri (Vice Chancellor-MUL) stated that nobody can deny the importance of sports as part & parcel of academic exertions. Sports is a stimuli for perceptive brain. Minhaj university at all stages has given due importance to sports advancements and would continue its practice in future also.
