Minhaj University Lahore inaugurated its "Seafood Festival 2024, with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad leading the ceremony. Organized by the Center of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs, the festival commenced with a poster exhibition by students from the School of Zoology and Botany, highlighting the importance of the ocean, marine life, and pollution.

During his address, Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad emphasized that the festival aims to promote awareness of various sectors related to the sea, including marine, cuisine, culture, and economy, while also educating students on the conservation and sustainable use of marine resources. The inauguration saw the participation of Registrar Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Director of Finance Abdul Rehman, Director CRIMA, Dr. Muhammad Ishfaq, faculty, and many students.

The three-day festival will run until October 10, featuring seminars, cooking, art competitions, speeches, documentaries, music, and drama performances on maritime themes.
